On Sept. 22, 2017 (starting at 4:32 UTC) Target Asteroids! observer Richard Owens, from Warrensburg, Missouri (United States), captured these images of OSIRIS-REx (indicated by the green circle) on a 0.36-meter telescope. Later that day, the spacecraft made its closest approach (over Antarctica) for Earth Gravity Assist.
