Angled View of Sample Site Osprey
This image captures a view of the northeast edge of the crater where site Osprey is located on asteroid Bennu. The image was taken by the PolyCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on April 11, 2019, from a distance of 3 miles (4.9 km). The field of view is 225 ft (68.6 m). The image was obtained during Flyby 6A of the mission’s Detailed Survey: Baseball Diamond phase. When the image was taken, the spacecraft was over the southern hemisphere, pointing PolyCam north and to the west.
