Close-Up View of Site Nightingale

This image shows Sit Nightingale in detail. The image was taken by the PolyCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on April 12, from a distance of 1.7 miles (2.8 km). The field of view is 130 ft (39.6 m). For scale, the visible portion of the crater is 50 ft (15.3 m) wide. The image was obtained during Flyby 6B of the mission’s Detailed Survey: Baseball Diamond phase. When the image was taken, the spacecraft was over the northern hemisphere, pointing PolyCam farther north and to the west. This image is rotated and Bennu’s north is located at the bottom of the frame.
