OSIRIS-REx Image Taken by Jost Jahn

The OSIRIS-REx spacecraft (indicated by the green circle) was photographed on Sept. 16, 2017 (at 1:09 UTC) from a location near Marseilles, France by amateur astronomer Jost Jahn using the ROTAT telescope at the Stiftung Interaktive Astronomie und Astrophysik. This cropped, magnified version of the image, which has a total exposure time of two hours and five minutes, shows the spacecraft at 21st magnitude. This is the first Spot the Spacecraft campaign image taken by an individual observer.
