Word of the Week: Terminator

The transition line on a planetary body where the Sun-lit (day) side meets the dark (night) side. A spacecraft is in a terminator orbit if it circles a body along this transition line.

OSIRIS-REx will be placed in a terminator oribit around asteroid Bennu during Orbital A and Orbital B phases.
