Wide Angle View of Sample Site Kingfisher

This image shows an overhead view of the small crater where sample site Kingfisher is located on asteroid Bennu. The crater is visible just to the right of the image’s center. The image was taken by the MapCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on February 26, 2019, from a distance of 1 mile (1.6 km). The field of view is 377 ft (114.9 m). The image was obtained during the mission’s Orbital A phase. When the image was taken, the spacecraft was over the northern hemisphere, pointing MapCam south and to the east.
