Orbital A: Close Encounters with Bennu
During Orbital A, OSIRIS-REx is orbiting Bennu at a range of about one mile (1.58 km) from the asteroid’s center — setting new records for the smallest planetary body ever orbited by a spacecraft and the closest orbit of an object by a spacecraft.
