This week, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft continued to drift away from asteroid Bennu with the sample safely secured in its Sample Return Capsule. The last maneuver that the spacecraft performed was the back-away burn after executing the Touch-And-Go (TAG) sample collection event. OSIRIS-REx will continue to drift away from the asteroid over the next couple of months, and is currently over 500 km from Bennu.
Since launch in Sep. 2016, the spacecraft has performed 119 maneuvers. It also completed approximately 363 orbits around Bennu.
