Earth-Based View of Asteroid Bennu, May 2012

On May 15, 2012, asteroid Bennu (then known as 1999 RQ36) was observed using the Vatican Observatory’s VATT 1.8-m Telescope. This image is a combination of 24 images with 60-second exposure times taken using the telescope’s R filter.
