Earth-Based View of Asteroid Bennu, April 2012

On April 20, 2012, researchers observed asteroid Bennu (then known as 1999 RQ36) using the 1.5-m Kuiper Telescope at the University of Arizona. This image is a combination of 86 images taken with 60-second exposures using the telescope’s R filter.
